Getting hold of curvy nuts and bolts?

On the SV650S, there is a black panel concealing the seat bolts, this is held on by one visible bolt and also a type of black clip at the other end, i snapped this by accident the other day. Does anyone know if you can get hold of little bits like that from Suzuki? Just thought i'd ask as they are shut now and i was wondering.

Yes. They're something daft like a quid+ each though - there's no harm in leaving them out, which is what most people do once they're gone/snapped/worn out.

Part no shown below. Any suzuki dealer should get them for you, or you can look on e bay.

Have you snapped the pannel or the bolt or the clip? if its the panel then ive got one you can have for postage or you can come collect it. if its the bolt/clip then i will have a look on sat to see if I still have them.

You can get equivalent pins from most parts suppliers if you really want them... I got a bag from a company that supplies fasteners for car restorations, bag of 20 for £1 :cool: Every bit as good as the Suzuki ones, and 1/40th as much or thereabouts.

I got some 10 for a fiver ebay ones. They are slightly bigger (not to mention lower quality than the OE ones) in certain places they work well, but in other they are a pig to get in and the middle tends to shoot out (into the darkest recesses of the bike, never to be seen again) when you try to remove them. Northie, I don't suppose you have any details of the company that provided you with those fasteners?

Mine are long gone but the bolts hold the panels on OK.

Fraid not, they were at a car show. The only place I ever use them is under the front fairing, since they help keep the panel gaps right and stop the fairing from rattling (well, OK, none of that stuff would be neccesary if the fairings were alright, but they're not :D)
