Its in the news saying that oh there should be a gerneral election, will there be one? who would win......
I think Gordon Brown should kicked out, one example which effects us.....fuel duty increase he is saying now that what happened in the last 10 years before he became prime minster is nothign do with casue he wasn't in charge.... the fuel increase is going to make a lot of things more expensive or small companies going bust and its his fault no one else.....oh he currently to stop a pay rise that across publice services.....
how is that fair when other in the private sector are allowed to have as much as they want. Why shouldn't they be capped to prevent inflation its way of keeping us down, one rule for rich and a different one for everyone else.
well he was the one that put in place no one else and its hs fault, he should taking the blame for what is going wrong becasue he could have stopped it happening......

The number of replies to your post should give some idea how interested people are in another election. The guys just got the job, he should have a stab at it first.

I think he's making a mess of it just now, anyway. Cameron's like a pig in poo, he can't lose- if he calls for an election and Brown doesn't call one, then he's running scared. If he does, then he's dancing to Cameron's tune. They've totally lost the initiative. That, and it brings back unhelpful memories of Blair putting off the announcement of his leaving for so long, which got really old and just made him look unreliable and untrustworthy. Which he was, but still, you should at least make an effort :bom:
To be honest given some of the recent hreads and the amount of people (including me) caling for things to change, for people not to be bothered with a election is a bit hypocritical i think, if you dont vote you have no right to whinge about things.
I alway vote and will continue to do so, this govenment needs to change ASAP!!
I think there should be without a doubt...... I REALLY dont like Gordon Brown, there is just something about him that makes me feel extremely uneasy.
I know the grass isnt always greener but on this ocassion I believe it could be.
does it matter its all a con they dont make any changes its not even in the politicians hands there just there to spin us a yarn the decision making team will always stay the same no matter who gets in
I know the grass isnt always greener
who do you recomend will do any better?
who do you recomend will do any better?
I believe david cameron and the conservatives would probably benefit me and my way of life better than gordon brown with labour currently does.
Its all in hindsight as what they say and what they do differ considerably.

I want another election because I was refused a vote in the last one.
Conspiracy theory!
I have always had a postal vote because of my job, I think it is open to abuse as the documents have barcodes and numbers identifying me or at least my address.
It wouldnt take much for some corrupt politician or councillor to work out how I vote.
At the last election my right for the postal vote was cancelled about 3 weeks before the election with no explanation.
I might be paranoid but maybe Tony Bliar had something to do with that

Well I dislike all of them but I despise Cameron.Even more of an opportunist than Blair was with his see which way the winds blowing policy initiatives.I also wonder how a multi millionaire who went to Eton from his sort of background could possibly be seen as fit to run the country by most people.
The old deference vote perhaps?
Ill just snivvle off and touch my forelock

Dont care, the government always seem to get elected.
So Labour is worried thats theres a economic slowdown coming. They wonder if its better to risk an election now, with a smaller majority, than to caught up in the bad economic news, and be blamed by some of the electorate for the problems (rightly or wrongly).
Thats why we'll either have one soon, or they'll go right up to the max term before calling one.
I think Brown knows the economy, and I think theres bad times coming and he's worried as the previous chancellor, and now the PM, he'll get lots of bad press when the credit crunch starts to hit.

Brown may have missed the boat.
He should have announced a rapid drawdown of the Army in Iraq as soon as he took over(which he sort of did)and gone to the country sraight away.
Now he looks like doing a Callahan.

Now that poor old Screaming Lord Sutch is around no longer, there is no real alternative to what you presently have.:p

C.R.A.P.?
You know young man you have a point there. If the momentum of the number of people clamouring for our common sense approach continues, then our hat might just have to be thrown in the ring.;)

what are our party colours??
A good question and I have to admit that this is proving something of a dilemma. T Shirts.rosettes, pens etc already to go in to production but still the final decision on colours has not been made. We aim for a hint of the traditional with a flavour of the future.;)

Well, a family friend went to university with him and actually...
...he really is a posh clueless ****wit that you wouldn't leave in charge of a church women's coffee morning, much less blighty in the 21st century.

Clearly a simple choice. Birthday suit pink. You could organise a naturist BBQ to celebrate the election win ;)

No there shouldn't, because they're all ****s
I can't see why Gordon Brown is suddenly so good - this is a guy who sold out his principles and laid low for 10 years twiddling his thumbs so you-know-who could run amok. Now he's in, has he gone back to the original labour principles that Blair abandoned? No, he's singing the same tune. The worst bit about this election is that whoever you choose, they'll do very similar things

Ive only ever voted once and that was when i turned 18 and it was a novelty thing to do.
Since then ive learnt that whoevre gets in it makes no difference. This country runs a basic 2 horse ace with a 3rd on the fringe that justifies the line "giving your vote to them is a lost vote...you need to vote for X to make sure Y gets kicjed out"
Modern democracy is a sham to make us believe that we have any say over what Govts do. WHoever gets in they are the New Establishment and have to look after the rich who helped them wn the elcetion.
Now if Screaming Lord Such was still about, or even his party for that matter, i'd definately vote for him!

I'd have to completely disagree with you there. A democratic government reflects the population who elected them. In that respect we have every say in what the government does.

Anyone not exercising their right to vote, then has no right to make any political comment in my view. A non vote acting as a protest does not wash.
I have the right to vote in U.K. general elections but on principle I do not as any vote I make affects those actually living in the U.K. and not directly myself. I think my option to vote when living overseas is wrong.

Not quite true tho i see where you are coming from FS.
None of us gave the Govt the explicit right to ploriferate CCTV cameras in the way they have.
None of us gave the Govt the right to log, store and transcribe all our landline and mobile phone calls and make them available to a whole heap of Govt Depts...yet they still went ahead an did it.
And do you think any of us have the power to reversed those decisions that the establishment have made on our behalf?
And i also dont think either of the 2 horses in the race will not introduce ID cards, they may say they wont to get in but then politicians say lots of things to get in and they cant be held accountable for not doing those things once they are in...excpet by voting them back out

I'd say that most people probably think that CCTV is a good idea. Phone taps etc perhaps not. But really, whether or not people actually want those things, the certainly tolerate them and that's why the government gets away with it. I recently posted this quote in anothe thread but I'll do it again 'cos it's a good'n. "The price of freedom is eternal vigilance" - Thomas Jefferson.
Above all political parties want power and they'll do anything to get it. If that ment rolling back certain powers once in government to get it, they would. Sadly, people are stupid, they ask for stupid things, and they get a stupid government.
So there ain't gonna be an election. I'm itching to cast my vote to hoof them out but on balance no election now is a good thing because then this shower can show how bad they really are over a longer period.
Since it's been on the news and I can't find it mentioned anywhere... Although I know it won't do any good, I'd just be interested to see how many entries it can get:
