Im just aproaching 11 thousend now
so question is what would you recommend i have serviced/changed?
would the brake lines need changing? as they are still stock?
valve clearence?
i dont know so any info would be usefull :)

thats fair enough then... i wasnt too sure when it was all due,
so its just another oil and filter and possibly an air filter ( i wanted a K&N for a while anyway )
what else would be a good idea to look at :)
its a K5.

I woudn't bother replacing the brake hoses with stock.
HEL or similar braided ones are way better and likely cheaper than the rubbber crap.
Also HEL are lifetime guaranteed, so no more replacements

Now that is good to know, do you see any performance inrease?

Doesn't make any difference at all to the total braking power, that can only be done by bigger calipers/smaller master cylinder/hard pads, what it does do is give you a harder lever and loads more feel in it.
How much difference you notice will depend on how worn your originals are, but nobodys complained yet.
If you don't want to change then I'd change the fluid at least, changed the fluid on some older cars and whats come out has been some 'orrible gunge nothing like proper fluid lol

11000 is the first official filter change since the 600 miler (though many change it before then) and the normal checks.
I've not bothered with fluid changes (meant to change after 2 years but it's a k4 and all works fine so far) and will probably leave those until next year and get chain/sprockets/braided lines/fluids all done at the same time. Or maybe 2009...
