2000 svs curvy.5k miles...

i run the bike about 3 times a week for a short work run then anout twice a m onth it gets a 100 mile + blast...

all been fine until yesterday when it wouldnt start atall..ignition light was either not on atall or on fully but when attempted to start it goes out...

measured battery 12.6V......started it with jump leads and it fires up no problem but as soon as i take leads off it dies again....left car and bike running on leads for about 10 mins...disconnected leads then bike cuts out straight away again...

any help greatly appreciated..just gonna check continuity cables from reg / rec to battery...

hi

battery is flat....according to haynes it should be atleast 13v...
volts go down to 5 or 6 when battery is under load when trying to start....

id have though once it was started with car then the charging circuit would then power the bike..but could be wrong....id buy a battery but dont want to spend the cash if its not the fault...

just checked contunuity between batery and reg on + and - and all is ok....

where do i go from here...is there an option other that buy a battery or reg just to try it.
