Just wondered if anybody has a Remus Powerizer fuel injection controller fitted yet? Now gonna buy a Remus exhaust system and pipercross induction kit. The Remus contoller is about £100 cheaper than a power commander and looks like it does a similar job ( Though non adjustable)

the only way it would work is with a lambda sensor so its closed loop, otherwise how will it know what to adjust.
no mention of lambda or closed loop and remus dont do a full system so where would you mount the lambda? and not many systems come with lambda bosses, esp for the sv.
better to save for a pc imho

It probably monitors some of the sensors and tweaks one of them making the controller give a different length injector pulse for a different air/fuel ratio. Even the injector pulse itself perhaps. AFAIK the pc works much the same way. It seems like its intended to compensate for after market cans or perhaps altering the air/fuel ratio for max. power instead of min. emissions.

I have wondered if it would be possible to add a lambda sensor to the 650 changing the system to closed loop giving a finer fuel adjustment. :)

knightrider seems to think his 07 uk spec bike has a lambda sensor. hes been worring a lot about weather fitting an end can is going to screw this up.

Cool, interesting to know that.

Just re-looked at the pick and that is an SV unit in the picture, looks like it plugs in to the injectors and a wire tap for the TPS.

So as I said before save your money and buy something else, its not mappable and it has no way of knowing what to adjust or by how much and as maps vary bike to bike, if your lucky you might have a bike that needs similar adjustment to the strict on emissions spec austrian bike they developed it on!!

Hope the bike is ok!!!.

As Rob says basically.

Cheers for the feedback on the Powerizer.Being a new product, there's so little bike specific info available. Hope to give JHS Racing a ring during the week to get their views.

Spoke to JHS Racing today about exhaust/air filter upgrade and remapping. Good honest advice in so much as road legal cans can be bolted on with no problems but (especially when using race cans/filter setup) to get the perfect fuelling its best to have it dyno'd. They haven't used the Remus Powerizer as far as i know because they are a Dynojet centre and so use the Power Commander for sorting out tuning issues. So i still don't actually know how well the Remus Powerizer works.

ok fair enough cheers anyway.

I imagine this is like 'chipping' a car. The unit somehow adjusts the fuelling for each bike, and is a generic map, not customisable so specific mods. Hopefully its not the 'resistor in a box' ebay special, which just fools the ecu into chucking more fuel in!

Interestingly; with remus exhausts, one selling point is that no re-map is required!
