DG864 Router Kwak?
As for getting Linux off it - well you need a copy of Windows with a valid CD Key to get started on that
Thems easy, let me know when you want to try again and I'll see if I can help you.

All you should need to do is put in your ADSL username and password (at least to get ADSL working)
ADSL Settings
Multiplexing Method LLC-BASED VC-BASED VPI VCI That should be common to all UK ISP's
Encapsulation (javascript:loadhelp('pppoa','enc')) PPPoE (PPP over Ethernet) PPPoA (PPP over ATM) Login (javascript:loadhelp('pppoa','login'))
Password (javascript:loadhelp('pppoa','password'))
Idle Timeout (javascript:loadhelp('pppoa','idletime')) (In Minutes)

WAN or LAN address
WAN is the address on your ISP's network - should be auto assigned.
LAN can only be set automatically if you have a DHCP server on your network, which I assume you dont have.
Switch DHCP on in the router config

Correction.
You need to give it an address in the 10.0.0.0 or 192.168.0.0 subnets
My config
LAN IP Setup
LAN TCP/IP Setup (javascript:loadhelp('lanip','tcp'))
IP Address 192.168.0.1 IP Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0 RIP Direction BOTH RIP Version RIP-2M Use Router as DHCP Server (javascript:loadhelp('lanip','dhcp')) Starting IP Address 192.168.0.128 Ending IP Address 192.168.0.250 You then need to set up wifi so that only know equipment will get an address tho

Lets stop boring everyone here - I'll PM you my email addie :)
Without wanting to state the obvious Kwak, something isa definately wrong with the router, I connected mine to the computer and it auto-detected everything, all I had to do was input my username and password.

I would, mine was so easy to sort out. You havent got a firewall running on something have you; not sure if it would make a difference but you never know. I had mine plugged into the phone line etc from the beginning but I think I installed the Cd then connected the router when tole to do so.

You may have hit the nail on the head and its been missed ;)
Kwak, we are all assuming you have a valid ADSL account, your phone line ADSL enabled and you have connected the router as per the instructions, eg micro filter and no telephone extension lead (at present)
