I know it won't happen but boy I'd love us to have a rideout on the E75 in Crete...

The E75 from Ayios Nikolaos to Sitia in Crete is one of the best roads I've ever had pleasure to travel along (shame it was in a Hire Car) The drivers are a bit nuts (a case of take away the brake and add a horn) but the road is amazing... The only way i can describe it is Dukes Pass on Steroids. about

its not the only good road around the area the road from Mallia up to Avadhou past Tzermiadhon to Neapolis was great with the section between Tzermiadhon to Neapolis completely resurfaced and racetrack smooth.

It so happened that we went along it on a Sunday (its Rideout day in Crete too) and the bikes were flying past us...

But if you ever going to Crete take your lid jacket and gloves, hire yourself a good bike and head out to these roads you won't be disapointed...

I'm thinking if i can stump up the cash i'm going to go back for a week next year for a week and hiring a Supermoto and just riding about... :riding:

depends on how close to the airport you are, and if you have a passport on you at the time ;)

Just make sure that you pay the full damage waiver.. excess is usually about 50-100 quid depending on hire terms if you bin it, some have no excess, but usually cost more in the first place.

a 125 would almost be enough... There were plenty of Aprilia 125 2stroke supermotos for hire at about 25 to 30 Euros a day... It would be a hoot... its off season now. we were the last people to leave our apartments this year...

Lets do this.... a bunch of scots bikers on 125 strokers on an island. You looking for trouble knowing the ecosse rideout standards??? Especially on foreign roads?? It'd be a laugh... especially on supermotos

We saw a bunch of about 10 Germans up in the hills behind Malia belting about on Yamaha XT650's when we where there... they were kitted up to the max (as Germans do) but they were all giggling and laughing.

Just found this link while looking at prices for bike hire... Oh its so true... after about 2 hours i'd clicked to most of the things and was actually joining in... Its something you have to do or they'll crucify you...

Oh Northy please tell me your kidding about the passport...
