Can anyone recommend me a good tyre place in Croydon or north east Surrey. I'm after a *reasonable* price for a rear Z6 fitted to a loose wheel.
Universal tyres (Upland/Selsdon road?) Its the only bike tyre place i know in croydon.
Failing that, Watling Tyres in Catford is the cheapest in the area.

I tried Universal, but the price wasn't what I wanted to pay - £118. Funnily enough, Watling are owned by Universal Tyres, but Catford is too far to go to save a couple of squids. In the end, I've just accepted a quote from Wraysbury Tyres in Whyteleafe (near home). They don't keep bike tyres so have to order in (as would Universal in S.Croydon). Even stranger, I'm pretty sure that Wraysbury get their bike tyres from Universal in S.Croydon, which is why they always quote me a couple of days longer than Universal do. This was acutally confirmed the last front tyre I bought from Universal - when I rang for a quote having got a price from Wraysbury, the bloke at Universal said "you've just rung Wraysbury" - which I indeed had. I did the same this time, but I think Universal inflated the price to put me off.

theres a place down gloucester road near rhino dyno i've used a couple of times and they ain't bad.
The Gloucester road place was Sons Tyres, unfortunatly he's closed shop, which is a shame.
I always trek up to essential rubber, but it's not quite what I'd call local.
