6-5 to the frogs. We gave away 2 stupid penalties.... however our try was just bad defending!

Half time and still too close too call. Both defences doing well but little in the way of attack on both sides, England behind to stupid mistakes in the last 22

I just spent the last hour and a bit frantically replacing the aerial cable from the roof to the freeview box for this.

Talk about bad timing.

Bah....pretty terrible performance by France. Never really looked like getting going at all. Just like the Argentina game, we made errors and perhaps didn't contest the break down as much as we could of.

Fair play to England, they were physical and played like we knew they would. Its a shame that we didn't play better, as there won't be be a better chance to win the WC. Its sad to end the international careers of legends like Ibanez and Pelous on such a sour note. I think the NZ game sapped too much energy from us.

I have the class to wish England good luck for the final, but they will have to step up their game if they are to have a chance against SA.

Hovis/Keithd.....your comments are duly noted and will be flaunted when France knock you out. :)

England did make hard work of it. Giving away stupid penalties. Wilkinsons poor kicking...
Though we still won, which is the important thing!

Personaly I would like to see the Argies through to the final and maybe even to beat us, would shut all the Aussie carping about not including the minnow teams in the world cup, some of the best games in this world cup have been played by the minnow teams

Well i would of said SA will walk it, but the way things have been going thus far and the half-back combination of Pichot and Hernandez, it may not be straightforward.

I have to say that i hope SA win, as an Argentina/England final could be an entirely forwards orientated game, punctuated by Wilkinson/Hernandez kicking for territory. It could also be intresting to see how England perform in comparison to the group stage encounter.

Now France have been eliminated, all i can hope for is a high standard of rugby, that is good to watch.

Yup.
Same here.
It would be very hard for the Blacks and the Aussies to deny Arg entry to the tri nations... if they have the world cup.

Pacific Islanders should have a team in there too. 5 teams, in the Tri Nations, and let Portugal into the 6 nations...

It wasnt that long ago that we (Ireland) almost got the heave ho from the 5 nations for being rubbish. Although... things have come full circle now it seems. Crap again.

There already calls for Argentina to be added to the current Tri-Nations tournanment SEE HERE (http://www.nzherald.co.nz/event/story.cfm?c_id=351&objectid=10468761). However, most of the current squad play their club rugby in Europe, so this would be a gigantic logistical nightmare.

should've gone online for a streaming media....I had to do that for the footie - I went to the office to watch the footie on the projector (& help myself to the fridge full of booze) but some inconsiderate builder had put up a crane in the line of site of our sky dish.
