If you go on your bike just remember you'll have a helmet to carry and the heavy warm clothing to walk about in. I recommend going in a car unless you have large panniers or somewhere to change into lighter clothing to walk around.
Enjoy :)

Would love to spend, but just not in a position to do it. Only have to wait until March next year then I can start to enjoy!! Plus I am going for a 2nd hand bike first to save a bit of money.
I remember being young and reckless with my money. How times have changed eh. My parents always said I would calm down and start being sensible... I just never saw it coming!! :)

I would love to oblige, Sandy. Unfortunately,
a) I am not single,
b) will be there with Mrs Professor who watches me like a hawk:smt074,
c) will come by car.
I'll be coming with some of the WRC. Dunno what day yet.. What day is best for the bargains? (if any!)

ive been a few time was a few years ago thow, i fink ill go on the last friday ill drag my dad with me try make him feel guilty and buy me a new lid or a new coat,, doubt he will thow hes a bit tite with the $$$. hope to see some of you guys there
I'm hoping to take er indoors. Would love to get her all leathered up but she's not into bikes.
Note: If I see anyone going in a car wearing leathers, getting out and getting lids out of the boot so they look like they've gone on a bike, ESPECIALLY if they are a couple wearing matching kit, I will tar and feather them. I'll also be taking pics and posting on here! He he he
What is the best day to go for bargains and quietness? Do they have a HG seconds or second hand stall there?
:)

You need a picture of me to use as advertising. ALL of my gear is from them-Leathers, boots, gloves, winter gear! I got it all when I passed my test. Good stuffI think. They had a stall at the a couple of years ago and the kit was cheap. Suppose the bike show is a bit posher but never been. Looking forward to it.
:)
I've talked over going with loads of people and everyone has come up with the same decission they're not going to go because in previous years they've not been impressed. Long story short its rubbish,to expensive, very few bargins.

I'd say those people were not interested in looking at any of the bikes and were only there for a specific bargain then.
If you enjoy looking at shiny things then it's a good day out.
Saving £200 over the last 2 years was nice too

I'm going to buy an Abba stand there, saves £10 on postage at the very least. Plus lots of shiny bikes and bike things to look at and play with. It's better than sitting inside on the sofa?

I will be hoping to buy a new suit.
My current one (Wolf) which I have had for over 3 years is
disintegrating. Also, after 3 years it doesn't smell good. I don't
want to cause distress to people coming to my office.

got to say i'm not going to bother this yr either, half the manufacturers dont go due to **** taking costs by the nec. last year we were talking to the guy from metal mule who had just done the milan show, he was saying that the nec bike show would fit into 1 of the 13 halls at the milan show. years ago the show was very good but its too expensive and too small now. (although i could be single for the day....... (Sandy??)

I'm going to go, have done for years- I go for the shiny new bikes! And usually get bargains on clothing. Plus Benelli and Ducati are there this year aren't they?
And plus it's my birthday during the show this year, so maybe go then and make a weekend of it? Depends on what/who etc. But more than likely will be on the weekend, as I've used up too much holiday on racing! LOL!
We usually get the train if there's a couple of us- works out cheapish, and both able to drink!!. If more, we'll drive.
And I'm single too.

How are the single men and bike show questions connected? Are they connected? If not why not? And if so when? Who?

Still vaguely thinking of popping down on the saturday or sunday, myself... Not sure, looks like a better show than the London one and I do like the shopping part at shows, even if I don't buy anything.

Sandy is single and looking for the right bloke, she is offering to pay for a room on the night that her and the attendee go to the show, so i've been told.
I've just turned single 8) Only kidding, sorry Sandy but my missus is too great to let go. There is some decent people around on here though so you might find the right person, you never know.
He he he.
Is the Birmingham show a lot better than the MCN show in London (generally) ?
Is it much quieter during weekdays too?
:)
Maybe see some of us from dawne sauff .
