I got a pair of 2nd hand slicks (Diablo superbike), turns out the front has a puncture (what bargain they were!)

Anyhoo, does anyone know if the slicks are essentially the same as the 'corsas??? WRT Profile/carcass!?!?!?

Thinking of running the slick in the rear and a 'corsa in the front as .. well I have corsa front ... I also have racetech fronts too which are interchangable ... so either a recetech, or supercorsa ...

I shouldn't need to say this as it should be implicit, but this is on me trackbike, not roadbike!! :smt101

I would'nt mix tyres espessially slicks and road tyres as the operating temps will be completly different so you will be getting to different grip levels
(BTW i have no idea if the above is right it's just my thoughts)

I see your thought process, but to be fair, the fronts I intend to run are track compound versions of the tyres. Word is that supercorsas (and racetechs) are essentially cut slicks ... but I am looking for conformation about profile/carcass movement more than compound ...

shouldn't be a problem to mix them, your prob better off with the racetech front as its characteristics are more like the slick , but neither should be an issue.
have known people use this combination in the damp
