Awesome have fun with your bike! Put some pictures too! Your not far from where my folks live so could meet up for a ride, then I'll go home and eat everything! Oh I'm a new rider too, so I wouldn't worry we have to start somewhere.

Dude you have pointy, like me. A curvy is K2 and before and strangly enough are curvey shaped:smt045
Blue good choice of colour, yeah its been raining here today as well so not going on the bike today been out for the past 3 days anyway. The weather is clearing up now for the next few days:D
I got my bike dropped of at home I was nervous as well pulling away, so your not alone with that one! You just need to ride your bike now as much as you can, you need to get use being on the bike and getting use to ride it. Once you do you will feel more confident and alot more happy on the bike. That is how it was for me.
Now I love being on the bike and feel a lot more at ease. Well take it easy and have fun:thumbsup: oh don't crash!

Y'ello matey. SV is a great bike to start off on, and to carry on...on...and to finish your biking days on. Least, it would seem that way!
Fit some crash bungs when you can, and a front mudgaurd extension so that in wet weather, water being thrown up form the front wheel dosnt come high enough to drench the front cylinder. Both easy modifications, both very very usefull.

Crash bungs really get some, I have already tested mine and they did the job!

Welcome to the org ;-)
I still remember the first time on my SV650 (almost a year ago now). I took it out for a test-ride and it thrilled me, scared me a little, but most of all, it just made me SMILE :D So I bought it.
I've recently been without it for several weeks (NINE!) and was given other bikes, and when I got my SV back it felt weird ... REALLY weird. Just get out on it as much as possible. Take it easy and get used to it :) then once you're used to it ... BIG GRINS TIME :D:D:D:D:D
I know people will probably say you should be grinning from ear to ear from the start, but lets face it ... how can you have a smile that big, if your ar$e is twitching every time you lean it over in a corner, or apply too much throttle/brake?! Get used to the bike, and you can enjoy it more IMHO ;-)
Pete
p.s. try n keep it shiny side up (do as I say, not as I do ;-) LOL)
