Hi ,
I would like some manufactuer suggestions if I could of decent after market exhausts for my new bike (It's a 2007 K6 650s)
I have spoken to the insurance bods and providing the can isn't performance-enhancing and it's completely street legal, it shouldn't be a problem getting it added to the documentation without a hike in the premium (In the event of an accident, they wouldn't replace it anyways..)
So...
Anyone got any suggestions?
Also, with your suggestions, could you give me an idea of what difference it would make ie: deeper sound, more tinnier etc etc
cheers guys

Have a read of the exhaust section, should find answers to most of your questions in there

Cheers Fizzwheel, have dredged through most of the exhaust threads and they only seem to cover either installation issues, legal complexities or whether it affects their warranties..
I was after suggestions of mean-sounding cans and why they've been recommended (ie: lush noise etc etc..), a few names wouldn't go amiss either as all I know are Remus, Akrapovich (sp) ... are there cans out there what were just made for an SV ???? You know, like a marriage made in heaven ???
To be honest, an after market can is still 2/3 weeks away at the moment. You know what it is like though, new bike and eyes are bigger than my wallet at the moment !

Got a Scorpian S/Steel round exhaust myself - £130 delivered, ordered from NEC bike show last year.
Road legal, removable baffles - sounds ace with a deep growl when accelerating and some nice popping on the overun.
You don't need to re-pack the Scorpian ones and like any replacement zorst are miles lighter than the OEM.
Only probs with it is the baffles keep falling :p
TBH
your just going to get peeps telling you what they have got, and they are the best (i would get a titanium scorpion race can) see.
depends how much you want to spend fuel cans start at about £100 new but you could get a good 2nd hand one for this price
also depends how loud you want it mine was probaly a bit too loud (although i never got pulled & there is peeps on here with louder than what i had)
check out ebay, personaly i dont like the stubby cans

I have a CCC one (Carbon Can company). Nice and growly, even with baffle in. Search the exhausts section to find my videos ro search youtube. Only £100 or so, they sell through ebay too.

I was in the same position a few months ago, looking for a new exhaust. Personally, I went for Fuel - great price, nice sound, removable baffle, and supporting a British manufacturer...
But as Hovis says, its personal preference...I might be wrong, but if you are only replacing the can and not going for a full system, you are unlikely to get any noticable performance gains, so...ya pays yer money etc...

They ALL sound better than the OEM. But I do love my titanium Leo Vince Sbk. And it's so much lighter than the standard one...
