As some of you will know, there is a toy run arranged every year at Christmas time starting in Reading , Berkshire. It attracts hundreds of bikers and runs from Foster Wheeler in Reading to High Close School in Wokingham. http://www.exousia.demon.co.uk/toyrun/ . My girlfriend works at the Willows Unit and we wanted to do something for the kids this Christmas. We are seeking donations towards a Nintendo Wii to be delivered on the day of the toy run.

Willows Unit is a residential unit where up to 11 boys and girls from High Close School board. High Close is a Barnardos school run for children aged 5-16 years who have emotional or behavioural difficulties often as a result of a difficult or troubled upbringing. As Barnardos is a charity, money is tight and they rely on donations from the public esp in the run up to christmas.

The children have said many times that the one thing they would really like is a Nintendo Wii to share. Staff agree that this would be a great idea as it would allow the kids to try new sports without breaking the budget or needing risk assesments!

All donations no matter how big or small would be greatly appreciated and all forum members names will be printed in a card and delivered with the gift. Of course you are more than welcome to join in the bike run and deliver it to the school in person with me!

Donations can be sent via Paypal to jackyobody@hotmail.com or by post or in person.

Cheers, Nick
