Check with Paypal. They control the money transfer.

no the money has been taken from my bank, it was a part paypal balance and part funded by bank account, this was the first thing i checked so i know ive paid but just cant fathom out who's taking me for a ride.

I've had a few problems with PayPal. I was trying to pay for something the other day and PayPal kept telling me I'd already paid, when I hadn't!

Another time it just would not let me pay, it kept giving me ridiculous error messages, this carried on for days!

Ho-hum.

if ive sent and the buyer hasn't received then i do believe its a paypal problem, trouble it i have to escalate the dispute before paypal will look into it.

If the money has left your account, then unless you sent it to the wrong address(Did you?...check), then i am inclined to believe the seller is bent. :)

i sent payment to the address on the link when it says pay now.

I had a problem with paypal sending "ECheques" they take 7 - 10 days to clear. Have a look at your paypal account and see if the payment is pending. These ECheques are a pain in the @rse, but you will get your goods eventually :)

Maybe the seller has the funds in his paypal account and is waiting for them to clear into his bank account, before he sends the item.

I had a similar thing where paypal was playing up, took about 7 hours for the payment to go through.. But from the sounds of it you've probably been waiting longer, just give it a bit of time.

When I bought something on Ebay recently the seller had the wrong email (typo) for payment by Paypal. I only noticed this cos I logged into Paypal directly, and there was a status message or whatever saying the funds were 'unclaimed'. The money had gone from my account though.

Btw I only use whatever the basic version of Paypal is, where it takes money off your card rather than directly out of your bank account, not sure if that makes a difference (doubt it in this case).

Ive just had to escalate the case with paypal, the funds have deffo left my account and he assures me he hasn't received them so paypal can check both accounts i should imagine, the seller has good feedback and deals in lots of motorcycle parts so i should imagine his accounts are in order, i'll just have to wait for paypal to get back to me.

not just sticking up for the post office but if you haven't received a letter and you ring the company and ask why it hasn't arrived they always blame the post, always check the date stamp like plowsie did these are changed regular every day, this is not always the case sometime the post do loose stuff or its stolen:(

Could have bought mine for a £10 posted to your door. Try the forsale section before ebay.

I want to die like my grandfather in his sleep, not screaming like the passengers on the back of my bike.

Isn't the correct quote:

I want to die like my grandfather in his sleep, not screaming like the passenger on the back of his bike.

:p

Kwak, did you manage to check directly in your Paypal then? (for the unclaimed funds thing)

Just didn't see you mention it, and it's a situation where Paypal has your money and not you or the seller - so it looks pretty dodgy from both ends if you don't spot it!

just had an email off the seller-
"We have spoken to our ebay support and the payment confirmation has now come through and we are sending the goods via courier today . they say there was a technical problem that a few people have suffered from . Thanks"

i think he was trying it on and now ive got paypal investigating and they have been in touch with him all of a sudden the funds are transfered, i'll wait until the courier actually delivers it before i call off the paypal dogs.:)

I got shafted for £200 on fleBay for a graphics card. Know what PayPal's "resolution" procedure got back for me?

£2.24

I'll never use either again.

Not that they care.

no worries, i've not personally had problems, but i know people that have ended up hundreds out of pocket because paypal's protection program is full of holes, i don't have an account with them, if a seller wants to sell me something i'm more than happy to pay by CC, BACS or even cheque (have to find my chequebook first though) but i wouldn't use them out of principle...
