Had a lookey on royayers.com fiches for you.

SV k3-4 pump assemblys are the same part number for 650 and 1000.

k5 650 pump is a different shape/part number. I'm guessing it wouldnt fit anything but a k5 tank.

No info for k5 1000 model on fiche, so couldn't say wheter it remains the same as earlier thou or not, but i guess so.... :???:

Just looked on Alpha sports................the fuel pump for both the K5 650 and 1000 is the same, but a different part number to the earlier models.

is that the one with the reserve on? Ive email the seller to ask the reserve price but had no reply, i just joined a site called parts gateway -http://www.partsgateway.co.uk/
and they have email me saying they have a tank for £125 delivered, what do you think about the price? the tanks silver so that would save having a respray.

i think i'll just order that one, if i have to buy a tank the wrong colour and have it sprayed it will cost more than that anyway.

I e-mailed that guy too and he said £100 to end early so I'm guessing the reserve is the same, may be worth it as it's brand new but the downside is you'll probably need a new fuel pump and you'll need it resprayed!

Could be over complicating things here, but is the pressure supplied from the different pumps the same?
Could be the later ones run a higher pressure what with the trend of manufacturers going for higher pressures to atomise the fuel better.
No fact behind this but I would check it if it was me.

Tis expensive but it's what the breakers tend to charge for decent tanks. Your only other option is to sit it out and wait for one on ebay (unlikely to get and undamaged silver one however, don't see many perfect tanks full stop.) which may take a while!

i see your having a dabble on that other blue one on ebay:) did you see my ad in the forsale section? some breakers give me there number, they have a blue one for £95.

£125 for a 'ready to fit' solution is pretty reasonable really.

I think a tank from Suzi is upwards of £400, then add the pump gubbins at £200 - Ouch!

And, according to ronayers the K3 one has been discontinued so you'd be scouring forever to find that elusive last one in stock somewhere! I'd hazard a guess this is why they go for good money if in good nick 2nd hand.
