New Imprezza

Has anyone seen it? I saw it on 5th gear the other day. Looks like a cross between a toyota corolla, a ford focus and a mazda 323 (i think its called a 323)

Dosnt look like the mean beast of a car it did 9 years ago

i must say the egg heads at Subaru have got it all wrong, looks rubbish, defiantly on the seriously un-cool wall, if that dam 5th gear didn't set it on fire:smt082

I have even just spent a few minutes trawling Google images for "ugliest car in the world" and can find nothing that compares to this! Even some of the "proclaimed" ugliest cars in the world have a little character ... this just doesn't have any ... AT ALL!

Mitsubishi have the right idea ... find a successful shape/formula and just keep banging them out ;-) Come on Subaru, you can do better than this!!

Other point of view comin up...

Surely a car like this is "pure drivers car" therefore the looks are irrelevent. The driving dynamic should take priority and knowing Subaru, they will make the turbo version defy the laws of physics like no car before.
If looks are the prime concern, then buy a "pretty" car.
Also, maybe a bit more of an inconspicuous car isn't a bad idea, bit of "stealth" not as obvious?
I prefer the iron fist in a silk glove approach, cars that don't look like it could but can. Bit like the SV really!

Actually ... having another look at the car (http://cars.uk.msn.com/Reviews/article.aspx?cp-documentid=6666445) ... it's not as bad as I first thought ... one of those ones that kinda grows on ya (perhaps?!) ... like the Honda Civic Type-R when it first came out ;-)

Love the new evo though... Wait for the UK tuned versions or Jap Tuned imports though. Standard Jap ones will be pretty poop and under 300bhp.

I think its the "hatchback" that has spoilt it personally - the Evo/Scooby fight was about 4 door saloons that went fast - now its a boring hatchback its no better than a Focus et all...
