Or do you mean a specific route like, you actually wanna turn down here etc.
Most will do waypoints, which is basically all about setting your own route (pretty much - I want to travel through X, Y and Z - let the GPS sort the rest).
Then it's just about bells & whistles. I personally wouldn't go for any of the dedicated bike systems. I'd go more for a mobile phone capable of running GPS software (and with GPS either wired into it, or connected via bluetooth). That way you can take (but not really make - unless you use voice dialling) calls too.
Just about everything out on the market will satisfy the "I want to tell it where I'm going, not let it plan for me" criteria.
HTH.
didnt really want a PDA Baph but im not that interested in a screen to watch just headphones as i'll be busy looking at the cage drivers pulling out on me
As far as I'm aware there is nothing like that on the market, I just use TT on my phone and listen to the route that John Cleese tells me. ;-)
ok does anyone know a phone what i can load tom tom on too as i need a new phone anyway, my Nokia 3510 is 3 years old and just about had it
Symbian Phone are the most common that can take it, though my is a Windows Mobile phone and they take them too. I think it even tells you on the TT site what phones it will work on.
