View Full Version : Pointless Objects
Was looking at a catalogue that came for the door the other day for my wife.
They were selling knitted cup-cakes at £25 a throw
Some people will buy anything!

..almost beats the 'clip-on' air freshner that you can get in my local petrol station - for your motorbike !! Comes in 3 subtle flavours and stylishly clips onto your handle bars without comprimising safety or movement of said bars.
£4.99

My girlfriend has just informed me that a knitted cup cake is a perfectly useful thing, then said that I was being awkward for not understanding.

And this, my friend, is why men will never ever understand the female mind.

runs and hides like a big girl...
re-think, a small girl that can hide in small spaces.
I suppose a knitted cupcake is about as pointless as a man made from porcelain, or a ship in a bottle. I don't think there is meant to be a point, but I agree, if you sell something - however bizarre or useless - someone out there will buy it from you.

Can you ask her why it's useful as my intrigue has got the better of me. . . . .

I beleive you'll find the answer will involve the word "cute". Most impractical things that my girlfriend buys are down to "cute".
The indicators in a BMW seem to be pointless objects that never work!!

£25 for that??!! It's not even edible!
For £25 I expect it to also be an air freshner that smells of freshly baked cupcake.
