More than likely. Implausible auction, bad grammar, no actual pics, no feedback, new seller, doesn't accept cash, no proper description. I didn't know Parcel Force delivered bikes either!

Well he has 3 of them for sale (all yellow) and one is at £4,600.

Very odd.

I would ask for a viewing if I were interested in buying one. But alas I'm not as a) I don't have the money and b) Ducati haven't made a good looking bike since the 916.

But how's he going to get any money out of anyone without delivering the goods? Anyone really going to send payment without a method of recourse (e.g. other than credit card) and just wait for him to deliver?

Plus listing on ebay can be quite rigid at times maybe he just clicked on parcelforce as they don't actually list his courier company. Also do ebay list cash as an available method of payment?

He should wait for it's tour to get it local, then bid like mad. He can then save a ton on delivery!

No?

Hmmm, he's registered as a business seller, surely eBay's got some sort of controls for that?

Ebay dont give a flying f***. I tried reporting stolen property to them on sale, the curt reply was in the form of ' if you are that sure then tell the police, not us '

They don't need to get all the cash, just a '£250 deposit by paypal or money transfer' is a good days work for a scammer eh.

Could you not bid on this, then throw the law at him if it is a false listing? (without handing any cash over). Does the law not protect us from this?

i rekon that you'd have to give the cash first before a crime would be commited and then i doubt they'd get him as useless as the law is

Greed usually fuels people into buying this sort of thing. Unfortunately I have dealt with 2 people who have suffered as a result of these things online now in the past month. In total between them they have lost more than £6.5k!!

I like Ebay, but I think you have to be careful and know what you're looking at as there are plenty of people on there who will try and rip you off. Having said that, the majority are genuine people with stuff to sell.

I've bought loads of stuff on there and made a bit of money for myself too.

I would never buy a vehicle on there without having been to look at it first though.
