Unfortunately I cannot ride a bike until the summer (or ever if my mum has anything to do with it) and will be restriced on the type of bike. My arm wont get movement back for several months and will only get a maximum of 90% movement due to the position of the plate and pins inside. At the moment the money is going on a car (once I can use my clutch leg properly) and keeping me going through the year (self supporting at university and not able to work, so no money coming in) will see closer to the summer time next year.

'tis true dear sir, 'tis true. BUT only SOME of them. Had an interesting conversation about helmets in a bike shop a few months back........
.....guy was saying that the fellow came into the shop decked out in the full Belstaff textiles (sorry BMW Textiles) with the new GS1200 and insisted on buying a lovely motocross helmet complete with sun peak. He was going touring around europe! Apparently, although he was advised that it would be awful on the road, with all the noise and spray etc, he insisted that "if it was good enough for Ewan McGregor, then it's what I want".:D
Inspirational series that Long Way Round you know...........
Garry:cool:
Inspired me to buy a £400 Transalp! He he he. Taking the missus to France on it next year.
and spray etc,
Ewan's & Charlie's had visors! not common I think?
There are a lot of CharlieandEwanalikes around. Unfortunately they choose to do the London Way Round and try to filter with those bloody mahoosive metal boxes strapped to the side.

Nope, as soon as I arrived behind exactly one of those this morning (GS & metal boxes) he was indicating right to look for a space to pull out of the way for me
Maybe he really did hear me shout, Oi Ewan!
