Does anyone know if a 650 seat will fit a 1000? Part numbers are diffwerent but they look the same!

I bought a Corbin front seat off ebay that came off a K5 1000 and fitted it to my K5 650 - the Corbin seats have the same part number for K5 650/1000 if that's any help...
