Family Guy - Getting worse?

Myself and a so-called friend ( :smt097)are having a little debate as to whether the current series of family guy is any good or not. Personally after the 3rd series, I think they went downhill. The 4th series was okay but the current series is just diabolical. Family guy was always good for it's off the wall random sketches but these days it just seems to be trying too hard. It's gone OTT.

Family Guy is great. True fact.

Admittedly I miss some of the jokes as they can be very American but overall dare I say its funnier then the Simpson's.

Also Brian is my role model.

Used to really like it, and think the random asides were good. Now it sometimes takes 3 minutes out of the show to do 1 unfunny gag.

Love American Dad tho, maybe 'coz it's fressher?

I rented series 1 last week and it is far better than the latest crop, however I still like it.
