Hi folks,

Reasons for selling:

1) I haven't used the bike in months after buying myself a car.
2) I'd want to make it pretty but don't see the sense in spending roughly £400 to restore it to its beauty when it wouldn't add that much to its existing value
3) Since I am now a fairweather rider i'm after more of a full on sports bike to get next summer.

Things you need to know:

MOT and Tax ran out 3 months ago.
I had a 20-30mph spill last year that has left a scuffed front left fairing.
The bar ends are scuffed
The plastic on the back of the mirrors has scratches
The forks look.. well look at the pictures
The clocks stopped working so I had to replace them, so the actual milleage is higher then what is displayed. (actual is at about 35k miles)
I'm overdue an oil filter by 2 months (haven't used bike in 3 though so thats forgivable)
Could do with a new chain some time in next 6 months.
General wear and tear through being used for commuting through 2 winters.
It needs a new battery (could just be lack of us recently causing alarm to drain battery down).
I don't have a full service history.

Things that are nice to know.

It has some barely used Pilot Road 2's on it.
Has an alarm.
Givi rack (can also provide 52litre givi topbox if wanted)
Works perfectly
Lovely sounding ART Can
I have some restrictors for it somewhere (not currently fitted).

Here are some pictures since I think these describe its condition better

Just thought i'd update to say that this is still for sale, i'll give it a few more days on the org before I put it on ebay. I'd prefer someone to buy it as a project to bring back to being perfect rather then someone getting it on ebay as a hack :(

If I sell my car on Ebay I could be interested in it. I am looking for a track bike, but it all depends on the car. Auction finishes on Saturday. :)

I'm interested, but with the work that needs doing, I wouldn't be able to offer you that price. If you have no success in selling and are willing to take an offer PM me.

I too would love it, I'm after a commuter but not until next year so wrong timing unfortunately. Besides the wife would literally kill me if I bought another yellow curvy only 12 months after pestering her to let me trade my old one in.

I'm getting a few PM's asking me where abouts I am for viewing purposes so to save answering all the PM's i'll say it here.

I'm based in Wigan in the northwest (about half way between liverpool and manchester).

Do you know if it had its major serviceing done when it was due?

Yeah all servicing has been done on time. The only thing that I am weary of is if the previous owner has replaced the hoses (fuel hose, vapour hose and brake hoses). I haven't had the hoses replaced but since its every 4 years the previous owner should of done it and its due for that now. I should of done the latest service 2 months ago but I haven't. (you can forgive me because I haven't used the bike in 3).

I've done things like oil changes myself, but I had the tappet clearance and carb synch done in June last year.

Whoever buys this bike should do a minor service on it once they have it, if I recall correctly last time I was on the bike there was a bit of play in the clutch cable but thats easy to sort.

I've tried to be as descriptive as I can but I recommend anyone interested to come down and take a look or ask more questions.

Jon

OK, I can't afford what you're asking - as I'm simply after a bike to put on the track.

I don't want to insult you with a low offer, so I'll just keep my eye on the thread.

Thanks,
Phil
