View Full Version : Anyone knoe where one can get Philips Xtreme bulbs off the shelf?
I have a friend of a friend who wants one for his bike but can put it in as an expense at work (if they don't check the bulb size!) but obviously need to get it off the shelf as opposed to mail order. Anyone know a shop that sells these in or around North to West Greater London?

I don't think my "friend" will get away with that as Hein Gericke only do bike stuff.
Halfords don't do them but I'll see if they can get one in.
Thanks peeps.

No I refuse! You stop being a pikey and buy me one! I'll have some summer boots while you're at it too.
They're nearly 20 quid! FOR A BULB!!!
I'm not tight but I've just spent nearly 6 grand on a bike. How was I to know the lights were pants? :smt119
I did just buy some stomp grips and ?35 for some overgrown ribbed french letters is my limit for things I don't really need for this month.

Half as expensive or twice as cheap:confused:
Read my opening post people. I need one bulb cos it aint for the SV. It's the reason I want one in the first place cos the Eurotw*ts only allow one dipped light on my bike. Come to think of it that can't be the law yet can it? Do all new-ish bikes only have one light for dipped and one for main beam?
Out of interest Paws is Hein Gericke a persons name? If not what does it mean?

I thought Hein Gerick was german for "****e quality". Judging by the last pair of gloves i got from them.

All my gear's alright from them but the summer gloves have worn out a bit after only doing about 5000 miles max.

I paid £25 for a pair just to replace my Astar GP Pro's until i can be bothered to clean them, and to be quite honest i am rather pleased with them, lasted me 3 months and theres only a certain bit that is comning off and that bit is expected. I therefor am a happy chappy with £25 well spent. I only really go in there to oggle at paws :smt110

Ii got HG Custom summer gloves and they literally fell apart after 5-10 uses!!
I was pretty shocked and hadn't kept my receipt thinking they were "top quality" (my mistake) and the shop (hg edinburgh) wouldn't take them back claiming i had bought them from a bike show as seconds!!!!
Customer service is shocking too.

Have bought a lot of kit from HG and most has been very good, my summer jacket broke once and they replaced it under warenty. My everyday textile kit has done over 40k in 3 years as is just begining to break.
I have always found the custmer serivice to be good, particually in the motorcycle world where it often seems a little lacking.
To be honest Jonesy I've been thinking and my only moan is the gloves and it's just the fingertips that the coloured part of the leather has some off but I suppose they wear just like anything. I've always got on with my local HG bunch.
