I am a ruined man. I just got my SV back and riding it was like going from a Ferrari to a relient robin :smt089. I am going to call the hire company to arrange for a collection date for the CBR later today so that I can hopefully keep it over the weekend.

Does anyone fancy joining me for my final ride out on the CBR tomorrow AM? Ideally I am looking to start at 9 and be back before 1.

To be fair a 12 o'clock return would be better for me as well.

Alas I will be on the SV. I have just called the hire company and although they wont be able to collect it till next week, they have taken the insurance off of it effective immediately so I cant ride it :smt089:smt089:smt089.

Well, I just got in. I'm entirely sober, so there's still a chance I might come down, but the lure of the lie-in is quite strong. If my body-clock wakes me up in time for work (quite likely) then I'll come down. Don't wait too long on the offchance!

Good ride...

Started getting a feel for the SV again toward the end. There is nothing like preping for an overtake by popping it down a gear to 10,000rpm and then realising as you twist the throttle and pull out that you are riding a twin with no power at that rpm and only 1,000rpm left to the limiter grrrrrrrrr. Made me kack my pants a couple of times.

Plus kept locking the rear as I changed down through the gears under breaking. Have to get used to that engine breaking again.
