Hey all,

After leaving the Go-Karting and beeping my horn to say good bye i have decided the meek horn doesnt quite match the noise coming out of the nice exhaust! :O

(esp when ralf went past me on the M9 and i meep meeped! very lame! :( )

Northy you have fitted a new horn. what is it? and do i need any mods?

Blue flame i think i remember reading a post about you geeting a new horn??

did you get an after market horn? what type and where from? need any mods to get it to work??

Anyone else any ideas?

cheers

Ooh, Northy just sold some sonic cannon or other. He'll be along shortly...

Other guys with the horn are Blue Flame and, IIRC, IndyPhot.

A search for stebel will reveal many 'my decibels are more than yours' type threads...

Have a look on the Home page (http://www.sv650.org/) in the FAQ and How to section for guidance.

Cheers Mark.

And here is pic of where i fitted it. Bolted on to the bottom radiator bolt using the fixing bracket off the old horn.

Edit. Why is this photo not displaying??? Is it trying to say that part of my name is a bad word??

Gran****son

Ha Ha looks like it. Grant Watson put together in a folder name is a 'no no' it would appear. FFS. I'm not changing the web folder structure for that.

Hold on. Gonna try something else Picture LINK (http://mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/gran****son/Photos_files/Horn_002.jpg). Edit >>>Nope it hates that as well.

FINAL EDIT -------Just noticed I am now 1000 posts old ---------- ONLY took me 3.5 years:p

Grant's fit's really tidy, I couldn't find anywhere to put one of those beasts so I used 2 smaller FIAMMs which are not quite as loud, but easier. THen I replaced them with a pair of FIAMM flat horns, which are like the OE but louder, but after due consideration I don't like 'em, they're loud at ground zero but they don't seem to project as well. I might go back to the twins.
