Re: Simoncelli down
I'm still shocked a day later, its such a shame! I think he was going to grow and grow in the sport...

Re: Simoncelli down
So sad as there's a quick 10mins interview with him in this months Fast Bikes
Ciao Marco, your was a flame that burned bright for a short time |
Re: Simoncelli down
What I am so gutted about it the fact that I was so looking forward to seeing what he could do next year... I really thought the larger bikes would suit him more than the little riders like Pedrosa. Ahhh.

Re: Simoncelli down
I still feel sick thinking about what happened. He was such a good rider and a pleasure to watch race. RIP

Re: Simoncelli down
Only just getting on here and not surprised to see how big this thread is already.
RIP Marco and God bless you. Thoughts to family, friends and all in the MotoGP community. |
Re: Simoncelli down
Awful, what a character, what a shame. I watched his interview after the Philip Island race and was smiling at his Italian English, I can't believe he's dead.
Of course I have no idea of the details but it doesn't look like the medics were over careful. http://i1217.photobucket.com/albums/...v650/marco.jpg |
Re: Simoncelli down
True, but as he'd suffered major head, neck & chest trauma after losing his helmet as reported then chaces of bringing him back were slim :-(
Said they did CPR for 45mins which shows the amount of resus they were trying to do, as that would have at least kept the oxygen going round in his blood and most importantly to the brain, which is the golden hour of patient care. After that then its downhill But if I was a riders rep I'd question that patient handling, seems like the medics need a lot more training |
