Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
I did something similar at Paradise Wildlife park. Right in with some of the animals like the cheetahs. Into the inner area with the lions with holes to poke the zoom through. The male lion didn't like me, maybe being ginger he thought I was a tiger. He leapt from the rock he was on and hurled himself at the fence. I'd been told if that happened leave the camera in place otherwise they can push their paws through the hole and try to grab you. He was close enough that I had to wipe angry lion saliva off my lens and face. It was a great day apart from that!

Wow! I imagine there must have been a little bit of ginger wee at that point! :-)
Fwiw I'm not sure a lion would attack a tiger as they are not natural enemies - live on different continents generally. |
Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
True, but in the park their enclosures were adjacent, maybe the tigers teased the lions all week.
