Re: SVBMX Build Thread
So last night i took 30 mins out of my evening to pick up my latest ebay win...
Bandit 1200 wheel http://i.imgur.com/PVum3vgh.jpg For the grand total of £16.06! Mega bargain. That's the wheel, tyre, sprocket, disc.. everything! Will start making bits to fit it within the next couple of the weeks. Its currently got a 180/55 tyre on it but im gonna go with a 180/60 for a better turn in, and then drop the rear to compensate for the added profile height. |
Re: SVBMX Build Thread
And please PLEASE change that brake disc.... PLEASE!!!

Re: SVBMX Build Thread
Just read through the whole thread. Absolutely lovely work. Love the colour! Am interested to see what you do next. I'd love to see I high level exhaust running under the rear seat.
Makes me want to spend more money on stuff I don't need to be spending money on right now ;) |

Re: SVBMX Build Thread
Underseat exhausts are so 2000s the one you have at the moment suits the bike perfectly IMO

Re: SVBMX Build Thread
Small update...
Due to relying on other people its taken longer than expected to get the rear end sorted on my sv. But saying that, the end is near :) I've now got myself a custom sprocket, spacers, milled caliper carrier, a different sprocket carrier (reduced depth) and new chain ready to fit the bandit wheel. Im not sure what bike the sprocket carrier came off as i found it in a random box of bits at the back of the workshop! Il find out what it is as it saves having to mill the bandit carrier. Unfortunately my bike is in my dads workshop and i cant get in there to bolt it all together until monday. I did however, in the mean time win "sv of the month" for october over on svrider :) Did this edit for my calendar spot... http://i.imgur.com/Oshr4Vah.jpg |
Re: SVBMX Build Thread
Ta for the update, and the win is well deserved. Nice one :)

Re: SVBMX Build Thread
Out of interest why did you need to change the sprocket carrier ? I used the original bandit one without any machining no problem.
Bike looks great by the way |
