I measure the distance I do on google maps (and keep a record on my google calendar). Haven't been timing myself though. I will never be converted to istuff. |

I ate a whole malt loaf on Sunday morning then went out and did 17 miles, followed by a lunchtime roast and a kebab for dinner!!! That's one of the reasons I do run, I can now eat all the crap that was making me fat before with any weight gain! Mind you my 17 mile run burnt about 2500 calories according to my watch, which could have meant serious weight loss, but I took it to mean that I was allowed 5000 calories for the day. |

Re: The running thread!
Man-Flu has got the better of me this week and I haven't been able to run since Sunday. Not exactly the ideal preparation I needed for the Maidstone Half-Marathon this Sunday!!!!

As long as it clears up before then, it can be a blessing in disguise. Forces you to rest. You can't really make yourself any fitter in one week, but you can injure yourself or wear yourself down. Most people do too much in the final week. Here's hoping it clears up in time.[-o< |
