Not quite:

"The Met Office is forecasting further unsettled conditions during the remainder of Thursday and into Friday and Flash messages will be issued as necessary. However, there is particular concern that a slow-moving area of low pressure will bring more persistent and heavy rain to parts of the UK over the weekend. Rainfall amounts of 15 to 25 mm are expected quite widely across England and Wales, but there is a risk that local totals could reach 50 mm, with the wettest conditions most likely later on Saturday across eastern England."

15-25mm is less than we've had in the heavy rain recently, and that 50mm's predicted to happen somewhere else. Where my mum and dad are on holiday, funnily enough. So they might come and visit :)

With the huuuuge tail hump I can't use a tailpack so its just what I can fit in a tankbag and rucksack unfortunately :( Shouldn't need much though so should be alright, and anything else I need (beer mainly;) ) I'll get when I'm up there.

I'm definitely still coming and on the bike too. I've been looking forward to this for far too long to let the weather forecast put me off. I'm not bothered about getting wet, but anxious about riding on wet roads. I'm sure I'll be ok if I just take it steady.

So count me in on this. I wont be able to access the internet again till after the week end, so for all those coming along, safe journey, see you all there and here's to us having a cracking time!!
