Re: Never had a big bike
I'd say that stuff will be fine - maybe budget for a back protector though
[edit] That bike you just linked is one of the ones I saw, I think it's in Harrow, so at least it'd be reasonably easy to get a train down for you to pick it up - providing they restrict it I suppose. Nice long ride back to get used to it as well :) |

whats an extender ?
|
Re: Never had a big bike
Front mudguard extender, it adds to the original to make it longer and stop crud getting thrown up at the front of the engine

Re: Never had a big bike
i think 3800 is just a little over budget because i still need locks/proper helmet /wouldnt beable to afford a can .....

Re: Never had a big bike
Hindle - where will you be parking the bike? If outside, then I recommend getting a good ground anchor and an Almax series III or IV security chain to secure the bike. A 1.5 meter chain will happliy go round the front downpipe and through the front wheel of the SV an secure it to the ground anchor. A bit pricey, but then stolen bikes cost more to replace

Re: Never had a big bike
its in a 5 car / car park / garage below the apartment block i live in ..... my other bike was stolen from down there Grrrrgggg was my own fauly tho for not locking it up ...... so yeah i will be getin ground x2 ground ancors and some nice big chains i have been looking at the alarmed disk locks as a tempery measure till i can afford an alarm fitting

I'm assuming your HG jacket came with a back protector, if not make sure you get one of those too :) |
