Although the £40k duc was probably the loudest.

No way! There was a desmo there? Bet that sounded the nuts. I love the sounds that come out of those. For some strange reason it reminds me of snapping wood.

That's the one, talking of snapping wood..... I owe the RAF 1 bench:smt116
There were a lot of people with professional looking setups. Not as many tossers as I expected either.
Only 2 crashes and a bike o' fire I believe.

I was going to say I almost low sided but the more and more I felt the back end slip the more I got used to it, so may be it wasn't as close as I thought. Has a near highside though which was unpleasant to say the least (although I'm sure an actual highside may feel a bit worse...eh?), wonder if the photographer/videographer got it.

You monkey. Its pretty easy to get the back sliding if you really want, There is a corner I love that I can get the back sliding a bit coming off of Woooo. Got to be careful though...

How gutted was the guy who owned the flame ball!?

Did you get a radar gun to see what speed you all got to? Were you running restricted Dave?

No, dunno how fast anyone got up to the main straight was over in like 5 seconds anyway always got my **** kicked up there.

Dunno didn't see him, bet he wasn't too pleased. Apparently the bike dropped its oil hit the exhaust or something and went up in flames.

Abso-bloody-fantastic day! I can't belive it was only £50 quid.

Sorry to see Mr X go articholk over tennis ball. I believe there were about 12 offs during the day and a whole lot more near calls. Not a single injury requiring a sticky plaster!

Nick, the back straight was the fastest part of the track and the hornet was showing a straight 120 on the clock every time pulling 5th before hard on the breaks for turn at the end.

rear tyre was just about cooked by the end of the day and there may be about 50 miles left in it. Not bad for 130 miles in total today!! talk about a grippy track. The front Pirelli Slick was simply awsome! I can't imagine what the 120/75/16.5 slicks are like as they have a 50% bigger contact patch when fully over!

I used two full tanks of Super unleaded in 130 miles so it'd be fair to say I was wringing the barnacles off the hornet in the advanced group. I was getting left for dead on the straights but could hussle with the best of them through the bends despite leaving dozens of nice scrape marks on every corner from my pegs.

By the last session I was shattered but was hanging off just about as far as I possibly could, Peg down, Toe down, Knee down at about 95 on full throttle at about 13000 rpm out of the last corner onto the start finish straight. Bliss!

Absolutely stonking day and I'd have been chuffed to pay twice what they were charging, especiallya s it was going to local charities.

Great to see everyone and I was very impressed by the personal improvement everyone made during the day. Dave, you were double the angle of lean by the end of the last sessiona nd incedibly smooth on the sections I could see you on.

Richie Buy longer legs! :)

Itchin' to see the pics too!

Off for a hot bath,
C

Wow cheers berlin wouldn't have thought it'd be that much but as I got more and more trusting in my avon storms (plus a bit of a curiosity killed the cat/curiosity damaged the dave thrown in there) I found I could just keep leaning until eventually I got peg down (hero blobs removed) on the last session. The last session is the one I really went for it on absolutely gutted I didn't have any more memory for the camera. I was happy with the track, myself, bike and tyres by this point so gunned it.
You were really good to watch, watching you lot in the advanced really reminded me of motogp. Liked seeing/hearing all the done up 'tyrewarmered' trackbikes go past.... then you hammer it past them on a tape-treated hornet!:smt044 You were going just as fast/faster then all the bigger track bikes, back end bouncing away a sight I won't forget.

12 crashes?!!! Didn't know that, I've got the after math of mr x's tumble on the very last few seconds of my footage. I have two full sessions a shakey first one and a slighlty improved second. Unsure how to post 'em. Either untouched full sessions or tidied up a bit (like the carlsberg vid). Would definitely have to go with richie's music suggestion !

BTW particularly want to see the marshal's footage/pics as towards the end of the day they set up on the nice s-bed near the finish/start line which is where I think I was getting lowest. If the photographers/kit/moment is up to scratch possibility of a great set of pics.

You will have to wait till tomorrow for pics - internet being really slow this evening and has taken ages to pull off the pics from camera as all the pics were taken in both RAW & JPG.

Not sure if this is any use to you by the way http://www.faststone.org/ - easily does the raw/jpeg conversion.
