Thanks guys. I'm over whelmed today, by your lovely sentiments and offers and the grief of the split. I tried to text him last night but its pretty obvious that he is not coming back. The weird thing is we both love each other and get on great together but he's not a good family man and I can't give up the kids! He wants the bachelor life again and I back to being the single mum. It hurts like hell but I don't have a choice. Christmas is a happy family time, but when its not your family and they are driving you mad I guess its not so happy. There its of my chest now, probably delete this later but for now it makes me feel a bit better. x

Don't stiffle your feelings, you don't have to be strong all the time. Just go with your emotions. Perhaps when he realises that life isn't always greener, he may come back? Could just be a little hic up.
You need to do what is best for you and your family, just like he is doing what is best for him. Try and be honest with him and yourself instead of having a brave face, doesn't make you any less of a good mother or woman.

You just have to think that if he wasn't really happy, then this is better to hapen sooner rather than later.

Now, get your self off to Ann Summers and buy the biggest bestest rabbit you can find and cheer yourself up!

AHHH I know this one well. Its why me and Carnivore split up. We'd been together for five years and tried so much to ignore that part. It took a year of living together to put the nail in the coffin. Now we've split we get on better than we have in about two years. Hes free to be what he wants to be.

And I found someone I've always looked for..with Pegasus. All is fair in love and war!

Me and the ex split after 7yrs cos she wanted kids desperately and i dint. We still love each other as friends and care a hell of a lot for each other. Even tho its been nearly 2 yrs now we still speak by text once or twice a week at least and i'm over the moon for her that she is with a new guy and now expecting a baby in the new year.

If things with you and your man didnt work out its best to finsih it early and not drag it out. Me and the ex now agree we should really have gone our own ways after year 5 but we kept at it and tried to make it work. Pointless in the end.

You'll find a man thats better for you amanda. :grouphug:
