Good job, top bloke :) Bibio, did you say you can provide the additonal scottoiler attachment if needed?

Picked mine up from the sorting office this morning, I know what I'll be doing after work! Cheers Lance.

Stupid question but, are the adjusters on the Bandit the same size by any chance?

i really do want people to be happy with my products and feedback is all important good or bad that way i can address points that need addressing.

i noticed one thing with the packaging when it was sitting overnight and that was the opening were coming loose at the corner which i shall address when i do other products.

group buy's are good but i think it's not fair on the site so i will be hoping to get a website up and running within the next month or two so keep an eye on my sig :-)

I took my bike down to Bike Night here in Weston last night and showed your plates to my mechanic friend. He was extremely complimentary on your workmanship and was impressed with your lower arm for the oil feed.

I also posted a picture to Tutoro and told them what you had made, they too were hugely impressed with how good your oiler arm is.

If you were to ask me if I am one hundred percent happy with the plates now fitted to my bike, I would say yes I am. If you really wanted to put a final polish them as a product for sale, maybe put a smoother curved chamfer on the cut edges and drilled holes. However, this is not a criticism, only an observation because I am really looking hard for anything that could be improved.

I think that you have developed an excellent product, but your market maybe is a bit specialist. Could you look in other bikes that use a similar design and improve their plates too.

As for the oil feed pipe arm, that is absolute genius.

Packaging was good and the plates arrived safely. I liked that you wrapped them in foam inside too to stop them getting scratched in transit.

When you are finished putting your web page together, drop me a line with the URL and I will talk to our radio station web developer about putting a link on our page for you.

Thank you Lance, your hard work was really appreciated and it does show when the final product is fitted to the bike.:smt041

I know the Scottoiler plate would look better on the inside, however with it where it is, it rests nicely against the plate and was already bent to the angle it is at when used on the bobbin.

Good work Lance

I fitted mine today, was a bit nervous in case I messed something up but it was pretty easy and only took 10 minutes at the most. They look well on the silver swing arm.

So what you planning on making next Lance? Don't forget about the exhaust hanger for me when your ready to make it though!

Bibio 08-07-12 09:32 PM

Re: Potential pointy Adjuster Plates Group Buy

next 3 items on the list will be bushes for the cheep emulators so they fit pointy forks, satnav mount and lower fairing hardware for pointy fairings. going to have a break for a while as it's already eaten up a lot of my biking sundays.

got a few little jobs to do for folks up here but i'll get onto the hanger for you soon.

That's great cheers, think we decided on doing it in stainless steel.

I'd imagine the fairing hardware will go down well, got mine fitted on Friday so I'm happy now. Are you doing a full like for like kit as the Suzuki fitting kit?

The emulators should be popular too but I'm trying to avoid doing anything with the front end, although these shiny GSXR front ends do look good but I can't get my head around swapping over which is just as well!

Hi Bibio,

Mine arrived at the weekend with everything looking in order. Will get them on the bike when I get a minute and feedback.

Thanks again!

I'd love a set of those adjuster plates for the curvy, Lance!

no yokes, i'll leave that to that other grumpy bloke. i will however be doing exchange extended cables once i make the jig :-)

i'm having a bit of time to myself for the rest of the season but come winter i'll be getting right on the curvy adjusters.

i tell ya what i would love, a bracket that enables the pointy to use gixxer calipers. I have seen these on a website somewhere but they were charging a fortune for them. What ya reckon?

Ooh, that sounds interesting. :notworthy:

Would some polished and pretty Stainless steel be up to the job for that?

Bibio 10-07-12 12:37 PM

Re: Potential pointy Adjuster Plates Group Buy

right list of things i'm planning.

extended throttle/control cables.
satnav mount.
chain guards
rad/oil guards
emulator bushes
curvy adjuster brackets
gsxr conversion speedo drive kit for pointy and curvy
pointy lower fairing fitting kit that you only buy the parts you need or a full kit.

things i would like to do and have looked into doing.
cartridge drop ins
radial calliper mounts
rearset brackets. i have two sets of the chinese ones that i have been playing with for the past year to see which are better/cheaper.
rearset brackets for the standard ones.

all of the above wont happen overnight so don't hold your breath.

if there is something you would like to see made and have an idea then let me know and i'll look into it.

Bibio 10-07-12 12:42 PM

Re: Potential pointy Adjuster Plates Group Buy

BTW. there is nothing wrong with the standard brakes you just have to keep them in tip top condition which means a service once a year. do this and they are well suited to the SV. i use radial ones on the gsxr conversion and to be honest they are tooo good coupled with the engine braking.

Re: Potential pointy Adjuster Plates Group Buy

i have no plans at present to even start making the lower fitting kits as i want some biking done before the winter.

depends on what you need i might already have the bits lying around.
