Have you got the horn attached to your mudguard?

It is attached to a post on the fork to get it away from the radiator. It is not very loud and it is more of a squeak than a toot, but it will do until I can change it.

I gave her a wash today so she will be nice clean for you Chris, I cannot wait for the day when you can work some of your magic on her. :salut:

I had a visitor today from sunny Wiltshire and he popped round some bits for me to play with.

So it looks like Sylvie is about to get some new legs and brakes.

Big thanks to the lovely Squirrel Hunter who did me a good deal on the parts and even delivered them to me. What a gentleman he is. Mind you, Alby woke up and wanted to see what was going on and promptly blessed the mudguard with some of her well aimed Shiitillary. :smt070

The first job was to strip and service the brakes and get everything else ready to ship up to the engineering magician that is Mr YC.

Right, I am still only half way done and still have a lot of playing left to do. :smt006

You not wrong, I now have blisters on my fingers! Those brake callipers took some cleaning... I don't know what you were thinking! :smt077

The forks are now making their way to the genius Mr YC and I have a new number plate that would not look out of place being licked and slapped on an envelope. The temptation to fit it and just say "who cares..." is almost overwhelming. Sadly when I bought it I did not realise just how small it was going to be, the guy quoted me in inches and it did not really register just how small the letters were going to be, mind you it is not like guys have a habit of making a couple of inches sound big is it!? I think that I may have to save that one for bike night! :smt119

Other jobs still to do are to adjust and service the master cylinder, clean up and polish the mudguard and carry on with my Lego tank project.

The Lego tank is coming on nicely, the remote control system is now working well, but the power drain to two large motors is a bit much. We shall have to see how it progresses! :smt023

This is something that I am now considering, so I have bought a Hall Probe and know that I need some kind of magnets, but am not sure what kind.

Not that I can do much about it at the moment, I am currently out of the UK riding a CB500 around Koh Samui and then Southern Thailand before heading over to Phuket Bike Week. It is a hard life. :smt075
