That tribute brought a smile to my face, what a guy. Also made me well up, what a loss to motorsport, he gave it his all and had so much more to give. One year older than me, what a talent :-(

RIP Marco.
A huge loss for the MotoGP world. I'm sure he would have been on the podium regularly next year and beyond, but sadly it is not to be. He seemed a genuine, likeable and fun character, like his mentor Rossi in his early days, which is such a contrast to his ultra serious rivals. I'm sure he did it to rile them, ruffle feathers. His racing predecessors and many fans appreciated him and could see potential, so why shouldnt Marco take the fight to them. After all, he must have shown enough already to earn his place on #58. Good man, good racer. We will miss you. |
