I went to my Z750 from a pointy and its a great bike.

The R should be even better as it has a bunch of Z1000 bits added to it.

I was overtaking him before he opened her up, but then we were neck and neck. So it may be quicker, but I don't think it'd have the step up in performance I am after.

I have the same problems with leathers mate. Could never get a suit. Too unconventionally sculpted. I think based on your suggestions and this site, I should check out the speed triple and drop into this Kawasaki dealer. Cheers bud.

Seriously? apart from the better brakes and suspension, the extra 30 bhp should make all the difference, admittedly most of the SV power is easier to access than that of an IL4, but that's the point it requires more skill to use a narrower powerband correctly.

As to leathers, the only way really is to invest some money and go "made to measure" hideout do reasonable rates and from what I've seen good quality to, might be worth a try.

Cheers Mark.

I'll see if I can get a test ride on one then mate. Maybe I'll feel the same as you did. Gotta be worth a bash.

That surprises me. He never told me what the power figures were and I never looked. I assumed they were similar. It's possible that I just caught him napping and he didn't downshift. We never discussed it. I reckon he's keeping that quiet :D I could never get the same bike as him though. I'd never live it down. ;)

I prefer textiles by the way buddy. I'm too gangly for a well fitted suit, but cheers for the link. I could buy a second bike for that money though! :)
