Nice to see you getting the bike how you want it :) Connectors soldered and crimped, very tidy when you doing mine ;)

I will gladly do yours, the only thing is that I cannot get up there to you, so you will have to venture into the bad lands of the south!

The strip down has started, the shiny bits are being pulled off and she is going to be rebuilt very soon, well as soon as my rubbish health will allow. Removal of the rear end took three hours. thirty minutes to remove, two and a half hours to walk back from the garage to the flat carrying the tail plastics.

My plan is to remove the exhaust system so that I can pull off the swing arm and service the bearings, however I am aware that this has not been done in years, so may take some doing.

Be sure to get some thread taps to strip out the snapped exhaust bolts :)

A brief sub frame, single saddle, liberal application of matt black and satin British racing green paint and that would look just right.

This is one of those rare occasions when I was seen in public with my finger pushed into my rear pipe. :smt043

The biggest issue was the bolt under the engine, the captive nut had rusted badly and then broken away so trying to undo the bolt resulted in the captive nut just spinning with the bolt. The answer was to grind the head of the swine off and now work out how I can fix the little F***er!

I can now have a crack at servicing my swing arm bearings and stripping the rear shock mounts and rocker.
