Re: Simoncelli down

If you watch footage of stoner he does it all the time. Hayden used to do it a lot as well when he was on the Honda.

It is cool as anything tho, ain't it? Probably not suitable for wokingham mini roundabouts else I'd be doing it all the time (I'm that good and I'm that cool, honest!)

I do feel for the parents today (as fenjer said) but tomorrow may be even harder when they're then on their own - other family gone to their homes once funeral is over.

I'm still completely gutted. It's another senna moment for me but as has been said so many times before in this thread it's not had the attention it warranted. He hadn't made it big yet but by heck, was he going to.

You're probably right, looks doctored to me.... unless the next shot is an almighty highside that is :-)

It's real. It's a shot from the Sepang Test back in February. He was an awesome rider with a lot of potential, it's so sad that the same track was the one he lost his life on. Here's a larger version...

And you can see Rossi and others doing it in similar photos in this thread on dirtbikeworld.net.

Ciao Marco, i had the pleasure of meeting you many many times, at Donnington, Silverstone, Brno, Valencia and Mugello. probably the nicest guy in the paddock. MotoGP won't be the same without him. He was the future.

He is MotoGP's "Senna"

R.I.P

I know what you mean, but they wont be on their own - Italians never (or rarely) leave each other in times of crisis. The family will be around for days if not weeks. AND they will be able to turn on any computer and see a massive out pouring of affection and warmth for their son, not many people can do that.

The footage of the funeral was so moving. What a turn out for a superstar gone too soon.

I haven't had chance to see the funeral. My pc won't let be use the site. Did find this of happier times when he was on the Gilera, I just love this photo took me two days to find it.

Wow, it might seem a crass comment, but given his Dads words earlier in the week and his demeanor and conduct at the funeral, all I can say Wow and respect and words that don't do the Dad justice.
