I know Last Christmas is a pretty good seasonal song but I do think it would have been a fitting tribute to the late Shane McGowan if Fairytale had been number one this year. Ah well.

It's been very peaceful here at Trev Towers today, as hoped. Got up late, nobody to look after or entertain, simple lunch followed by a Miss Marple we oddly have not seen before. Dinner should be ready soon and I shall not be trying to stay awake as we settle in for a film afterwards. Hope you've all had a good one too.

Got my day tomorrow. The girls were at their mother’s place for Christmas Day this year, as we do it turn and turn about. Quiet day for me. Went for a walk with Mabel this morning, and this evening I’ve been baking. A seitan loaf for dinner tomorrow, and a boiled fruit cake. Just about to sit down and watch Doctor Who now.
