its working! It only needs to be the edge, its getting it very smooth and polished - might have to use something else to get it better but its not bad

you used to be able to get 'jewellers rouge' a paste type polish that was very fine. try a french polishers for supply locally.

What about a fine polishing compound that car finishers use? It's much finer than autosol or t-cut etc and should leave it with a mirror finish.
