Re: Is my rear light an Mot failier ??
In that case duct tape them to the back plastics when you get there :p
I think lissas suggestion is best if your MOT man isn't as blind and deaf as mine, but they look like LED so unplug the connectors as you probably won't be able to remove the bulbs. |
Re: Is my rear light an Mot failier ??
Illegal doesn't mean MOT failure, only if it's on the MOT list. I doubt this is.

Re: Is my rear light an Mot failier ??
Had that idea on my mind, so i'll give it a go.
another thing to ask....:) The indies when on, blink at a rate of 2 to maybe 3 blinks a seconded, seem fast to me. all work, no bulbs blown, is this another problem? where is the indies relay? |
Re: Is my rear light an Mot failier ??
This is because you've fitted LED lamps which don't have the draw of the standard filament bulbs, you need to fit a flasher relay IMO. (you can ballast the circuit, but then you're wasting power for the sake of it.)

Have a read of this:
http://www.motuk.co.uk/mcmanual_130.htm For brake lights and this: http://www.motuk.co.uk/mcmanual_150.htm for indicators. |

Re: Is my rear light an Mot failier ??
trouble is the rear led light has intergrated indies, and I can't see that working.
So you don't need indies on a bike for an m.o.t ? strange :smt103 |

However.. If they are fitted they must work. This includes the switchgear. If the switch is there the indicators must work. So just taking out the bulbs won't be enough for an anal MOT man. |
Re: Is my rear light an Mot failier ??
Told you, just find a more understanding MOT man.
