In that case duct tape them to the back plastics when you get there :p

I think lissas suggestion is best if your MOT man isn't as blind and deaf as mine, but they look like LED so unplug the connectors as you probably won't be able to remove the bulbs.

Illegal doesn't mean MOT failure, only if it's on the MOT list. I doubt this is.

Had that idea on my mind, so i'll give it a go.

another thing to ask....:)

The indies when on, blink at a rate of 2 to maybe 3 blinks a seconded, seem fast to me.
all work, no bulbs blown, is this another problem? where is the indies relay?

This is because you've fitted LED lamps which don't have the draw of the standard filament bulbs, you need to fit a flasher relay IMO. (you can ballast the circuit, but then you're wasting power for the sake of it.)

Have a read of this:

For brake lights and this:

http://www.motuk.co.uk/mcmanual_150.htm

for indicators.

Yep deffo an MOT fail.

Indicators must be separate from the rear light and there are rules on how far apart they should be.

Correct if indicators are fitted.

Excellent idea, you will need to remove them though as to be 100% by the book taping them up will not work (its still classed as a light). If you are gonna remove the front indicators you will have to change the rear bulbs to not be used as an indicator (if you have front you must have rear, if you have rear you must have front).

trouble is the rear led light has intergrated indies, and I can't see that working.

So you don't need indies on a bike for an m.o.t ?

Almost correct. You don't need indicators for an MOT.

However.. If they are fitted they must work. This includes the switchgear.

If the switch is there the indicators must work.

So just taking out the bulbs won't be enough for an anal MOT man.
