I noticed my foot slipping off the footpeg about 5 miles from home. |
Re: Emergency help required
I'm sure I spotted a few spots of oil on the other side of the A4 coming from Thatcham back to Reading this eve... Didn't spot a cap though...
Your lucky the back end didn't go a little sideways!;) |
Re: Emergency help required
Sh*t Si, it's all over the place!! Lucky you didn't lose it as it's on the back tyre. I'm surprised the engine didn't seize with that much oil ejected.

Re: Emergency help required
To be fair to Si, what with him being a stoical NTV rider n'all, I really don't think loosing a bit of oil, the engine seizing up, or even going sideways round the Robin Hood Roundabout would phase him that much...
Considering it was that bad, and he only really noticed that his right foot felt a little slippy! |

Re: Emergency help required
It's not that much oil - a little bit goes a long way when it's spraying around.
An edit to my earlier instructions as per your text: Quote:

Re: Emergency help required
Big Ape, you does realise the chain is on the other side if you wanted to lube it.:smt077
I have a spare if I can find it and I'll bring it down Saturday. Any good? |
Re: Emergency help required
Damn only just read this - a 'help me fix my bike' thread that I can contribute to.
I'm rubbish at fixing bikes but I'm brilliant at drinking wine  So Si if you need any similar help in the future just give me a bell |
Re: Emergency help required
Oh my head hurts.
As Sid Squid has mentioned. It really isn't much oil. Oil is like blood. It only takes a little to look a big mess. The level was on minimum when I checked it. Now I have to get into work with a hangover. Lucky for me that it's the non productive day of the week. |
Re: Emergency help required
If going halves on two bottles of wine of an evening has left you that ropey, maybe you should stick to shandy in future, you big jessie.
