Re: next v-twin after the sv

i miss the engine braking on my sv1000 due to its slipper clutch type device :( used to love sliding the back of my old 650 into corners where as the 1000 wont do it.

it all could be down to me having only ever owned 2 bikes, the first an inline 4 and then the sv. Took the cbf600 out after a few months of owning the sv - cbf felt like it had no power whatsoever and i had to really mash the brakes to get them to work... 848 it is then

For next bike, I'm pretty much sold on the idea of a Triumph 675 triple, Street Triple in my case. Not this year though, SV is just so pleasant to ride and I'm certainly not fed up with it and to be honest, my riding style will never find it's limit once the springs and rear shock are sorted

Given your very limited experiance with different bikes I really can't see how you can make a truely informed choice:smt102

the CBF600 if far from a ss6 as is the SV from something like a TLS 1000 twin, not to mention other engine configurations/suspension grades/ chassis weights & speed setups.

It's quite hard to actually buy a bad bike these days, but getting one to suit you will be an informed guess at best, setting unfounded limitations because others have said something, seems a bit silly if you ask me.

you have a basic choice, either go for something you know, but better, or something you fancy and build your experiance of the different types out there.

Cheers Mark.

i would like a falco (if you can find one!), A TLS or R would be nice, i would definately kill myself though, but i do like the look of a VTR, for me though V-Twins just sound mental!

my raptor 1000 sounds great, can shift has the tl engine and if you are vertically challenged its fantastic.
