You've got to test ride one really to realise how powerful they are. All the sheesh about the low end being non existant is tripe, yes compared to a twin or thou it's not as good but it is a 600. If you want nutty power everywhere then got for the 750 or thou. I know they improved it for the K8 but im sure the K7 isn't far off the same. Mine pulls from 4000rpm which supprised me and then it takes off from 8000rpm and rips my arms off 10000rpm onwards.

I haven't got alot to compare the gsxr600 too but compared to the SV the powerband feels huge. The SV used to lack when overtaking and the odd drag race you could tell the power was reaching it's peak but with the gixxer it's one big rush right to the Red line. I tested this out last week, a chav in a VW golf GTI thought it would be fun to play, i blew him away and i remember times on the SV when it would struggle to impress like that but seeing they're jaws drop and the sight and sound of the gixxer was priceless.!!! If you love the sound of an inline four on song, moto GP style then even the standard GSXR600 exhaust offers that and with an after market especially on the K6/K7 with the cat being removable it offers another level to the sound.

Ah good. I tested a K7 600 last year but if I'm honest I can't remember the feel. Afterall it wasn't my bike so didn't want to risk binning it. Then I went and bought the ZX6R P7, as long as it is as quick but more comfy than that I will be happy.

I found the gixxer 600 a bit boring.... unless you rag the sh!t out of her, that's the only way to have some fun on the bike.... very underpowered..

on the other hand... if you can stretch to the 750....that's a good one!

Yep, the 750 would tick all your boxes I reckon
