I've done small ones when pulling to a stop on the left, that way I can put my left foot down. Used to do it all the time on my push bike. I would swing the back right round, then have to start steering the wrong way! Ha ha ha

Approaching a petrol station in the wet, suddenly saw the area I was heading for was coned off so I just hammered the rear and slid to a halt. Felt rather fun, I just hoped people watching didn't think I had messed up! I understand you :)

Skids?

Old school cool.

The ****tier the bike, the ****tier the tyre, makes a more satisfying skid.

Top skid bikes:

Yam RXS100 Plastic tyres = Lots of noise, little smoke.

Kawa KC100 Teflon tyres = More noise, still little smoke but ultimate "Give your fellow commuters and miserable pedestrians the heebiegeebies."

KDX125 Arrive at lights sideyways, with little noise but good (tyre)smoke. Leave lights at 45 degrees cos your ****-end was pointing the wrong way.........then you progress to rubbish stoppies and don't look back. Rad.

GSX1400 Only the once intentionally, cos the missus pointed the vid-camera at me(officer). Silent (so expensive!), but a cloud of blue smoke so fat and long an assortment of 2strokes could never muster.)

LOUD SKIDS SAVE LIVES (Dumb ped's mostly)

More power to your right foot Blue:cool:

bustin for a pee the other day, down a country lane, pulled into a gravel layby and the back wheel locked. Wouldn't have been a problem but the layby was on a bit of a slant = bike desperately trying to slide with the diagonal pull of gravity versus hillside. I nearly p1ssed myself (but I made it over the farmers gate and into the field in time) :)

Skids are cool....
But spinning and leaving black marks is even cooler.

Here's some black marks...tyre art courtesy of my SV:
(spinning not sliding) (really eats up tyres though)

none thankfully, but when I tried a 180 skid on the tuono the force throws you over, if you have too much force it would High side wouldnt it? or is it low side? either way spining and skidding risks falling off..

Fun but very crashy..
