What about the chain though? What make, ring type etc??

Had JT steel on me 650 with a Tsubaki gold chain. Spannerman highly recommended the Tsubaki which was good enough for me.

Yea go for the Tsubaki Gold X ring, make sure to get the x-ring it lasts longer. Gold link is up to you but i rekon it looks much better than a grey link.

X ring doesn't last that much longer. Gimmick. Just maintain an O ring and you'll have no problems.

JT sprockets are good but I have no experience of SSS chains. Personally on a torquey lump like the thou I'd be fitting a heavy duty tsubaki.
