Dont think i can sway his mind to a SV , unless i can prove to him that a 675 will run lyk sh!t restricted..
Hes 18 in June, so still 1 year+ of his restricion left..

do you mean he is a pillock

Is more worried about the comsmetics, than the performance i think..
Not 100% though, just trying to do him a favour by finding out how itl run restricted, if it will run at all..

if he is more concerned about cosmetics, he will want fully comp, so do a quote for that!

i had a go on a restricted 675.. i had more fun on my 125.. it pulls to about 5000 then stops.. thats it.. it just stops.. no more power.. made me want to cry top speed 108ish after what seemed an age.

restricting this bike is pointless.. even for the "look at me girls" points he might get..
not to mention the 5+ K it will cost him just for the bike.. i dont know your mate but at 17 i was lucky tohave £500 at any point..

Just my 2P though

it'll run, triumph supply the restrictor kit, it's basically a throttle stop that prevents you opening the throttle past about 25%

pointless buying a bike like that and restricting it IMO, there's plenty of lighter bikes out there that actually work better with lower power outputs, buying a 675 to restrict it is like buying a ferrari to potter to the shops and back through town, purely for vanity purposes and nothing to do with utilising the machine...

if they are educated people they will understand that third party only is just stupid on any bike.. lol,

the D675 needs FC.. no questions
so if they can afford the bike im sure a FC is possible too?
